Dindigul Junction is located at the jap side of the town adjoining to the city’s SIDCO commercial property. The station bears the intersection of 4 branching railway stations. Peranai and Sirumalai are the district’s two best picnic spots. There are nine dams in this district, namely Palar Porundalar, Varathamanathi, Kuthiraiaru in Palani Block, Parappalar, and Nanganchiar in Oddanchatram Block, Maruthanathi, Kamarajar Sagar in Athoor Block, Mavoor in Nilakottai Block, and Kudaganar in Vedasandur Block.
