The Shivalingam is a building that represents many different schools of
thought. There are differing opinions that the lingam's presence is shaped like
a curved circle, illustrating the path of the nearby planetary system, with
rice serving as the primary nourishment. For this reason, they worship Lord
Shiva and promise to reimburse you for the benefits of venerating Kodi
Sivalingam. Nevertheless, the Kodilingam Lingabarvardavarshini sanctuary is
located 45 kilometres from theni town in the Western Ghats' Theni region.
The goal of the sanctuary is to infuse vitality into every part of the
body, just like the verdant forests and the mountain mists that cover the
mountaintop. It is acknowledged that the location is where the eighty-three
Rishis and the Goddess are said to be. After the metro love at the Kodi Lingam
Temple, there are countless places to see in the surrounding area. Among the
well-known sites of interest nearby are Suruli Falls, Kumbakkarai Falls,
Megamalai, Bodi Mettu, Vellimalai, Mullai Periyar Dam, and Sothuparai Dam.
Kailasa Lingam, the temple's presiding deity, is a manifestation of Lord Shiva.
Along with His Consort Goddess Parvatha Vardhini, He bestows blessings upon His
devotees. This temple is close to the Suruli Velappar Temple and the Suruli
Falls. Situated on a small hillock known as Suruli Malai lies this temple. The
temple's management has plans to increase the number of lingams to one core in
the near future, from the current 30000. The presence of a 70-foot-tall Dyana
Lingam and a Nava Bhashana Lingam makes this temple special.
